not very good shots as the sun was shining through the window when I took these shots of the great tits fledging.I counted four but feel I hadn't seen the beginning of the exodus.

thanks Warren. It's the first time I have ever managed to see it in all the years I have had nest boxes in my garden.

denis, they flew different ways but not very far,one went into the next hawthorn tree, one into a bush near the nest and I didn't see the others.I have seen the adult come back to the suet block and watched it fly around the side of the house so looks like they are well away from the box.Typical, you feed them all year and they take their babies somewher you cant watch.lol

Hi Sheila. What great timing.I also always miss it too. It must give you such satifaction to see them grow up and leave. Hopefully the young ones will hang around your garden or feeders with their parents.

Only just spotted this, Sheila, I think great tit fledglings look comical rather than cute :)

Oh WOW my friend just look at the little mouth, I still reckon you've had some lessons with that darned camera, my £500+ job just doesn't give me anything like these spectacular results (can't possibly be the photographer now can it - LOL)
Well done Sheila
