had to lighten this photo up to be able to see the little tree sparrows face.He had been in and out of this box for weeks.Quite a tight sqeeze for him.What he is up to I don't know.

there were four collared doves once over having a bathe in my stream.These two then settled down in the sun until a sparrowhawk landed on the fence and you could hear the flapping of their wings as they shot off

Oh for a Tree Sparrow on my patch. It would be a record and a half!

they are lovely little birds Warren.I didnt even know there was such a thing until started GBS forum.the fledglings are so sweet.

Lovely pics Sheila. Just LOVE the tree sparrow poking his head out!! I wonder what hes doing in there? And lovely pics of the doves, i think theyre SO beautiful x

thanks Karen I had hoped when he first started looking in the nest would be another brood but he has me puzzled

Sorry to have missed commenting on some of your recent posts Sheila, things have been a bit up and down here lately. I love your Tree Sparrow photo, I haven't seen one since I was a child. Lovely photos of the Kingfisher and Nuthatch, I'm very envious :)

thanks GM and lynmiranda the collared doves are regular visitors but were more than relaxed on that visit.

Nice shot of the sparrow..I have a real hard time getting good shots of any of the sparrows. Your tree sparrow is different than the tree sparrow in the US. Ours are deep blue and white. Interesting.
