never saw the parents with them but I am sure these are baby yellowhammers taking a bath in my stream.OH thought they look a bit like greenfinches which made me doubt my ID

baby starling and the questionable yellowhammer.Saw the adult yellowhammers but they never came to feed the young ones

thanks for all your comments.Have seen them again tonight and the mum was feeding them It was lovely this is the first time I have seen the fledglings since we moved here.

Lovely pics! I'd have gone with yellowhammer too because of the white outer tail feathers and no yellow on the wing but the mum has confirmed the ID for you!
