What a fantastic photo of the very regal looking sparrowhawk Sheila, still glad the one's around here are staying in the park!!! A fellow dog walker told me this morning he had sighted two buzzards and a small bird that resembled a buzzard in the park this morning, lovely to know but yet again I hope they leave my beauties alone!!!

Magnificent photo Sheila, we had several visits from a Sparrowhawk late last summer and although they are beautiful creatures I am pleased not to have seen it lately (I hope that's not tempting fate!).

Well Denis I do think this is a female as it has no orangey colouring underneath just the barring

yes denis she was bigger,I still get a little confused but have just looked back at some old posts of mine where I had close shots of one stalking a bird and it did look smaller and had the colouring underneath.Thanks for taking the time to post your comments though really appreciated
