After a days hard work digging the hole we put the liner down and began the dirty job of transferring all the muddy water from the bottom of the old wildlife pond. There were three frogs and four toads in the mud at the bottom so they are now in the new pond with plenty little nooks for them and a pebble ramp for any would be drinkers such as hedgehogs to get out.
Just have the surround to tidy and plant .

Sheila,
A question "How do you get the electricity to power the pump down to the pond???, Ours would have to be at the foot of the garden some 100 foot away from the power supply!!!!"

thankfully our pond is a bit nearer to the house and we put a cable through trunking but that is for the pond with the waterfall. An ordinary wildlife pond just needs some plant material to oxygenate it so wouldnt need electricity
